A flexible mobile POS system created specifically with Europe’s small and medium-sized enterprises in mind has been released by German fintech Unzer.
With the new POS Go solution, retailers will be able to accept cashless payments anywhere. It also includes a number of practical functions including digital accounting, receipt storage, and real-time sales analysis. The solution also enables the point of sale to directly accept well-liked payment options like buy-now-pay-later and makes it simple to connect both new and preexisting loyalty programmes.
The Berlin-based fintech is aiming its new POS product at smaller shops who might want to accept payments anywhere like a beer garden or sporting event.
Even while Germany has a long-standing love affair with cash and is making a rather sluggish transition away from it, there are roughly a million POS systems in use there. However, only a small percentage of them are mobile, according to Unzer. The use of mobile devices for checkout purposes is one of the top objectives at the point of sale, according to a report by the EHI Retail Institute, with 55% of respondents willing to invest in mobile checkouts.
Unzer CEO Robert Bueninck explains: “We assist merchants in making the switch from accepting cash to accepting credit card payments. However, POS Go is more than just a portable cash register. The software that powers it offers businesses a variety of capabilities, such as real-time sales data and client interaction programmes that make daily duties easier.
POS Go can be integrated with online shops in addition to providing a solution for physical retail. Businesses can engage with a number of marketplaces, including Facebook, Instagram, Amazon, Google Shopping, and others, through the connected online shop without the need for additional software.
