Give us an intro about yourself and about your company?
As the Global Leader of Protiviti’s Legal Consulting solution practice, I use over 25 years of executive operations and legal experience to assist global corporations and law firms modernize their legal departments, create efficiencies to drive profitably while managing legal risk. I work closely with C-suite professionals, general counsel, chief legal officers, and legal operations professionals to optimize legal processes, reduce litigation exposure, and manage privacy concerns including contract and data risk.
With a dedicated team by my side —a group of sharp lawyers, legal tech experts, cybersecurity wizards, AI specialists, and risk and compliance resources —I bring together a powerhouse of skills and deep industry insight to refine legal operations and propel businesses forward. Through my journey, I’ve had the privilege of guiding numerous clients to scale new heights in revenue growth, cut back on unnecessary expenditures, and navigate the difficult waters of regulatory, legal, and financial risks—all while cultivating a thriving environment where our talent can grow and stay committed.
In addition to my leadership role at Protiviti, I host Protiviti’s Legal Perspectives podcast, featuring thought provoking discussions with in-house and law firm experts on legal operations management and the business of law. How do you assist your clients respond to, and solve problems in today’s challenging business environment?
Today, companies and their legal teams are adapting at an accelerated pace to a variety of challenges, including how we work, manage talent, adapt technological advancements, like Artificial Intelligence, and navigate increasing regulatory and legal policies. The business landscape has grown incredibly complex, necessitating enhanced cooperation and collaboration both within a company and external partners.
As a legal consulting advisor, I see my role as a strategic partner. I’m here to help business leaders streamline their operations and build roadmaps that support them in achieving their business goals, all while increasing profits and reducing unnecessary legal expenses. For instance, we recently helped one of the world’s largest entertainment companies reduce its legal spend by seven figures, realize vendor contracting efficiencies of over 40% and enable it to recognize and capitalize on new revenue growth opportunities by leveraging our legal services managed program.

In my experience, innovation doesn’t happen without big ideas. By big ideas, I mean that organizations should work with people who are creative, curious, open to challenges, and unafraid of change, fostering diverse opinions and ideas.
In today’s fast-paced business environment, companies that stay abreast of the latest technologies remain close to their business needs and have a clear understanding of their strategic direction will outpace the competition. Innovation plays a crucial role in steering organizations in this direction. It’s not just about new technologies’ “bells and whistles,” but about making the right choices that lead to small, everyday successes.
For me, innovation involves knowing when to ask for help and recognizing that small, incremental steps can be transformative, guiding an organization into new and exciting directions. By embracing this mindset, companies can achieve sustained growth and stay ahead in a competitive landscape.
