Sagar: At Joyspace AI, we specialize in multimodal AI research and product development. Our key products include Joyspace AI Captions, which provides accurate and customizable video captioning, and Joyspace AI Shorts, which automates the creation of engaging short clips from long-form content. Drawing from my experience in Search and AI, we developed a multimodal search engine that extracts semantics, insights, and key moments from video and audio data. Additionally, our parallel rendering algorithm significantly accelerates video production—reducing processing time from hours to just minutes.

Vishal: My background in multimodal and video AI has been instrumental in optimizing our data pipelines, making them 100x faster while also reducing AI hallucinations by 99%. We’ve also innovated a dynamic CPU-GPU optimization system that ensures pixel-perfect short clips with high accuracy and cost efficiency. Additionally, we’ve developed small, private AI models that businesses can deploy with their own data, enhancing privacy and security while maintaining AI performance.

What are some of the biggest challenges in AI/ML today, and how have you personally contributed to solving them?

Sagar: The AI landscape is evolving at an unprecedented pace, with new models emerging constantly. I see three major challenges: keeping up with rapid AI advancements, scaling infrastructure efficiently without massive capital, and handling complex video data that requires high computational power and storage. Drawing from my experience at Google and various startups, I’ve developed cutting-edge search and rendering algorithms that streamline video production, drastically reducing processing time while enhancing efficiency. Our solutions cater to businesses of all sizes, from startups to large enterprises, who rely on our products daily.

Vishal: Many businesses struggle with overpromised AI solutions, misaligned results, and high costs. I focus on solving these issues by developing custom-trained AI models, scalable data pipelines, and GPU-optimized algorithms that ensure precise video outputs with minimal human intervention. Using my deep expertise in AI and ML, we’ve built highly efficient cloud-compute infrastructure and custom processing code for audio and video data. Our innovations in precision and efficiency continue to push the boundaries of AI-driven content creation.

Sagar: AI should amplify business efficiency, not just automate tasks. If video editing traditionally takes 10 human hours, our AI should reduce it to under one hour. My work in computational storytelling and multimodal AI has revealed that specialized models tailored for specific industries consistently outperform general-purpose AI. To achieve this, we leverage scalable pipelines and dynamic CPU/GPU optimization, ensuring high-quality results while keeping costs manageable.

Vishal: The foundation of robust AI is impeccable data. We enable clients to upload raw data and then fine-tune our models using advanced techniques like LoRA (Low-Rank Adaptation) and RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback).
