Can you provide an example of a time when your company demonstrated resilience in the face of adversity?
During the pandemic, our company exhibited exceptional resilience. In preparation for the end of lockdown, we rapidly developed a comprehensive course on returning to work. This effort highlighted our commitment and resourcefulness, with one team member even recording the voiceover from her closet to ensure timely delivery. This quick adaptation addressed our clients’ immediate needs and demonstrated our ability to maintain high-quality service despite challenging circumstances.
How do you gather and incorporate customer feedback into your business strategy?
At SHIFT, we prioritize customer satisfaction as a key to our business success. Our team actively seeks customer reviews and testimonials and conducts post-purchase surveys to ensure we meet our clients’ needs. We closely monitor email and social media interactions daily, demonstrating our commitment to valuing our customers’ opinions.
Before launching a new course, we host client gatherings to gather invaluable feedback, ensuring we address all our clients’ comprehensive needs. We place great importance on listening to our customers and incorporating their feedback into our strategy, as it helps us continuously improve and align our offerings with their expectations.
Could you give us a synopsis of the founders and the team?
After attaining a law degree from Boston College, our co-founders went on to earn partnerships at prestigious law firms where they each soon after became their firms’ Hiring Partners. Through that role, they each experienced many talented lawyers, primarily women, leaving their firms and sometimes the practice of law all together. These changes usually occurred when they were ensconced in working conditions which did not provide any opportunity to balance work and family and there was no focus on firm culture. Our co-founders believed there was a way to accomplish this balance through establishing a law firm with an innovative structure and a more supportive culture. As such, Katherin Nukk-Freeman and her law school roommate, Suzanne Cerra, co-founded the employment law firm, Nukk-Freeman & Cerra. Within a few years, Thomson Reuters and US News and World Report acknowledged NFC as a top-rated employment law firm. Today, NFC is the largest, managementside, woman-owned employment law firm on the East Coast. As part of this journey, Katherin and Suzanne also co-founded SHIFT HR Compliance Training to continue to help evolve workplaces with interactive and forwarding thinking e-learning which could be scaled throughout an organization. At SHIFT, we have a mission-driven leadership where are leaders and team members work to impact positive change in the workplaces and cultures of our clients.
