The creator of Tron also asserted to own “tens of millions” of Huobi Tokens and that, as an adviser to the latter’s affiliated cryptocurrency exchange, he intends to work to promote them.
In an interview with Emily Chang on Thursday on Bloomberg Television, Sun stated, “I would perceive myself as one of the biggest holders” of Huobi Tokens worldwide.
He said that in 2013, he first began collecting Huobi cryptocurrency exchange tokens. The coin’s value has grown by almost 80% in the last week after Sun joined the advisory board of the exchange.
Huobi is one of the top 10 cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, according to CoinMarketCap, with a daily volume of about $879.5 million. Sun insisted he hasn’t purchased any company stock.
Sun stated that he will focus on bringing Huobi back into China and extending it abroad if the law allows.
