What is PrepaidUSA? What services does your company provide?
In 2003, PrePaidUSA embarked on its journey as a trailblazer in the prepaid solutions industry. Founded by visionary entrepreneurs Dolly Oza and Lee Nydell, the company aimed to revolutionize the way companies award and incentivize employees, customers and vendors. With a strong vision and a commitment to innovation, PrePaidUSA quickly gained recognition as a trusted provider of prepaid solutions and is the only licensed program manager selling to businesses only.
The company has seen unprecedented growth over the last two decades by continuously re-inventing itself, offering effective low-cost award and incentive solutions to the corporate buyer. The company serves many different industries including healthcare, energy, manufacturing, real estate, and marketing agency clients.
What inspired you to start this business? Could you share your journey as a business leader and an inspiring personality?
While working in a previous role at a large corporation, we noticed a gap in the way employees were recognized and motivated. There was a heavy emphasis on standard annual bonuses and routine salary increments, but little attention was given to unique, personalized incentives. We saw that many of your colleagues, despite being hard-working and dedicated, felt unappreciated and undervalued. They didn’t just want money—they wanted to feel seen, understood, and rewarded in ways that resonated with them personally.
It was during a team-building retreat that the idea solidified. We observed how excited and motivated your colleagues became when they were recognized and provided with a monetary cash incentive. We realized that there is an opportunity to transform the corporate incentives industry. Rather than generic bonuses and one-size-fits-all rewards, we envisioned a company that would work closely with other businesses to design bespoke incentive packages—ones that would resonate deeply with employees and drive unparalleled levels of engagement and loyalty.
And thus, with a vision to revolutionize corporate rewards and a belief in the power of personalized recognition, you embarked on your journey to start our business for corporate incentives. The inspiration behind starting the business was a combination of our passion for working with corporates, helping them make their employees cheerful. We were trying to explore a recognition of a gap or opportunity in the market, and a desire to make a positive impact. I saw the tremendous potential in fintech rewards and incentives industry, and that drove us to take the entrepreneurial leap.
My journey as a business leader has been marked by many significant milestones, experiences, overcoming challenges and achievements through key decisions. Throughout this journey, I’ve learned the importance of making employees feel truly special and adding value to them. I believe that leadership is about working along with a group of people for a common objective to add value to clients, Ultimately, my goal is to continue growing as a leader and making a meaningful impact in both our business and the lives of those we work with.
In your perspective, what defines a powerful woman? How do you integrate these thoughts into your leadership?
From the experience and knowledge, I have gained, I define a powerful woman by a combination of traits and qualities that set her apart and enable her to make a significant impact in various aspects of her life. Confidence is a fundamental aspect; it involves belief in one’s abilities and the courage to take risks and pursue goals. This self-assurance not only propels her forward but also inspires those around her. Resilience is another defining trait. A powerful woman doesn’t let setbacks or adversity deter her; instead, she learns from challenges and uses them as stepping stones to greater success. Her ability to bounce back and persevere in the face of adversity is a testament to her strength.
Empathy is a vital component of a powerful woman’s character. She possesses the capacity to understand and connect with others on a deep emotional level, fostering trust and collaboration. Integrity is also central to her identity. She operates with honesty, authenticity, and a commitment to ethical principles, earning respect and admiration from her peers. Leadership is a natural extension of her qualities. Through her vision, dedication, and ability to inspire and guide others, she not only achieves her goals but also empowers those around her to reach their full potential.
To integrate these thoughts into my leadership, I adopt to leading by example. I foster a culture of confidence by encouraging my team to embrace their strengths and take calculated risks. I embody resilience, showing that setbacks are opportunities for growth and learning. Empathy is integral to my leadership style, as I listen actively, value diverse perspectives, and build strong interpersonal relationships. I uphold the highest ethical standards, creating a trustworthy and transparent work environment. I also try to inspire others to develop their leadership potential, fostering a culture of empowerment and inclusivity.
What advice do you have for women entrepreneurs?
It would be grateful if they keep the below in mind.
* Believe in Yourself: Confidence is key. Trust in your abilities and your vision. Self-belief will help you overcome challenges and stay resilient.
* Build a Strong Network: Surround yourself with mentors, advisors, and a supportive network. Seek out other entrepreneurs, both women and men, who can provide guidance and insights.

I have always guided my team that as a company instead of focusing on sales, we put customers in the center of everything we do. Today our customers are our sales leaders and most businesses we get is through repeat clients or references.
