The most cutting-edge and secure data centres in the Middle East are used by MedOne, a firm that provides next-generation data services. The business was established in 1999. It now manages three extremely secure sites with 17 million square feet of data centre space. MedOne provides Infrastructure as a Service to its clients via a variety of cloud environments hosted in top-tier data centres with superior connectivity. It makes sense why MedOne Cloud has been a huge success since its introduction.
Utilizing Ericom
Ericom offers Zero Trust safe access solutions that shield businesses from cutting-edge cyberthreats. Historically, the company’s architecture consisted of on-premises deployments at client locations. However, they planned to start with a small number of public cloud regions, then gradually expand to more, all in accordance with the expanding business requirements. They understood that in order to satisfy the demands of the numerous global corporations that depend on Ericom for adherence to local data regulations, low latency, and safe remote browsing, their cloud products would need in-country web services.
Even though Ericom was thrilled by MedOne’s data centre and product offerings, the company’s Devops team was hesitant to employ a cloud service that did not offer a managed Kubernetes offering that was completely CNCF compliant. “We had two primary needs as we began organising our global deployments. We first decided against rewriting any code. Second, we sought a deployment procedure that could be applied globally. Both of these requirements were immediately addressed by the Ridge Cloud and Ridge APIs “explained Shmaya Frankel, Ericom’s head of devops.
MedOne provides its clients with cutting-edge managed services on top of their current cloud capabilities by becoming a Ridge Cloud Service Provider (CSP) partner. “At the infrastructure level of the stack are MedOne’s main skills. Ridge gave us the support we required to provide Ericom with the solution they requested while we were looking for a partner to help us elevate that offering. We were able to create a managed Kubernetes service with a clear, contemporary API through easy, zero-code integration with Ridge. We anticipate that many of our current and potential clients will rely on the service we have created with Ridge to make deployment and administration simpler, “said Gil Shani, MedOne’s CTO.
A Kubernetes-based codebase that was already operational at a US-based cloud operator was successfully migrated for Ericom by MedOne. The move went without a hitch thanks to Ridge’s APIs and standards-based implementation. According to Frankel of Ericom: “It was quite easy to add MedOne as a new location for our infrastructure. Ridge’s API was simple to use and made it simple to customise and deploy.”
Ridge API might enable Ericom to move its deployment. For Ericom, it has created a brand-new business opportunity. “Our ability to have a worldwide footprint even if our physical facilities are in one nation is intriguing for us. We are already trying to determine the next deployment region “Shani, the CTO of MedOne, concluded.
